Mike Maiden is an independent defence and security consultant. He is also a Senior Adviser to Renaissance Strategic Advisors, a leading global business consultancy specialising in defence, security and aerospace and advises a number of other public and private sector organisations in the UK and overseas.

 

Mike is a Senior Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute, the UK’s senior defence and security think-tank.

Mike is former Chairman of NDI, the nationwide membership-based supply chain and business development organisation that provides services and support to companies across the defence, aerospace, space and security sectors. He is also a former Defence and Security Adviser to the CEO of EEF, the UK’s trade body for the manufacturing sector and a former UK Chairman of US/UK Business Inc.

Mike’s earlier career included over 30 years’ service in the UK Ministry of Defence. His last appointment was Middle East Director in the Defence Export Services Organisation. After leaving government service Mike became Sales & Marketing Director at Alvis-Vickers before moving to BAE Systems as Government Relations Director.
